Filmhouse (Edinburgh) Ltd. is a new charity established to relaunch and operate Filmhouse, Scotland’s leading cultural cinema. Our vision is for Filmhouse to be a world class cinema for Scotland’s capital, connecting people with a range of films from around the world, as well as providing a welcoming space to eat, drink and socialise in the city. After significant progress in fundraising and planning, we are now underway with a major renovation of the premises at 88 Lothian Road, and plan to reopen the cinema in June 2025.
We are seeking four dedicated Cinema Duty Managers to join our team, with one full time, and three part roles, available. You'll work closely with the Cinema Manager to make sure that the whole front of house cinema operation runs smoothly, and supervise the cinema’s front of house team, all in pursuit of offering a great filmgoing experience for audiences, underpinned by great customer service.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved at the very beginning of the relaunch of an important cultural venue in Edinburgh.
The roles available include one 37.5 hours per week position, as well as three 18-hour positions. Daytime, evening and weekend work will be required for the proper performance of the role. The role will be based on-site at Filmhouse on Lothian Road.
