Filmhouse (Edinburgh) Ltd. (FEL) is a new charitable company established to relaunch and operate Filmhouse, Scotland’s leading cultural cinema.
Our vision is for Filmhouse to be a world class cinema for Scotland’s capital, contributing to the common good by connecting people with the full diversity of cinematic forms. After significant progress in fundraising and planning, we are now at the start of a major renovation of the premises at 88 Lothian Road, and plan to re-open the cinema around June 2025.
The Marketing Manager role covers the full breadth of the marketing function: to plan, create and manage marketing and communications for Filmhouse’s cinema programme and public profile as required, including its learning & engagement activity and the café-bar offer – working within agreed budgets from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in engaging and developing audiences for a newly re-invigorated cultural institution.
FEL is at a specific juncture of transition, as we evolve from the project to ‘re-open the doors’ towards a new era of regular operation. In the first few weeks and months of their role, the Marketing Manager will play a direct part in delivering the launch campaign leading up to opening day. The Marketing Manager will transition into normal duties once the cinema is open.
The role is full time at 37.5 hours per week and will be based on site at 88 Lothian Road.
We hope that role will begin by the end of March 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
